News is starting to drift out that (Wetpixel.com; Digital Camera Reviews, Ratings, Tips & Comparisons) Nikon is set launch a new DSLR. An online teaser campaign has been launched on Nikon’s Japan site.

No word on what the camera is going to be, but rumours position it as a D80 or D90 – a higher end replacement of the D70/D70s. It is known that the camera will have 10.2 megepixels.

Only yesterday I read an interesting speculative roadmap for Nikon on Thom Hogan’s bythom.com site.
