In episode 009, we chat with the Pan Galactics Best Underwater Photographer, Dave Harasti. We’ve chatted about Dave in the past (with the odd friendly shot across his bow), but Dave really is one of diving’s good guys. Not only is he an ace photographer, but he is very definitely one of the most prolific divers in Australia right now.
The only diver knows to have survived being hit by lightning underwater (twice), Dave is a marine scientist currently working with NSW Fisheries on Shark and Seahorse conservation, Dave has interesting stories to tell about:
- Sharks and shark conservation
- Seahorses
- Being struck by lightening
- Getting bent
- Uepi - the world’s best diving (I agree)
- Being on a sinking dive boat
