In a bold move, Nikon has announced today that they will no longer sell most of their film cameras. The only film cameras that will continue to be manufactured are the F6 and the FM10. The F6 will be the only one sold in Europe. All large format lenses, and many manual focus lenses are as of now discontinued too.

According to this article on Wetpixel, Nikon has announced that they are out of the film camera market, with the exception of the very high end professional camera, the F6, and the FM10, popular with enthusiasts.

The F80, F90x, F100, F50, etc are all going.

Now the whole argument about whether lenses are Full Frame (i.e. 35mm) essentially goes away. Because digital is the standard
