Surface Interval #003

LISTEN HERE TO EPISODE 003 OF SURFACE INTERVAL

Des was about to head off to Asia, so Bear made sure we recorded an episode of Surface Interval. Andrew was back, and shared his input from the recent Esperance Star trip to Moreton Bay.

We talked a bit about diving with dolphins, which gave Des a chance to talk about his best dive ever - a dive at the curiously named Penguin Reef, near Uepi Island in the Solomon’s - a 90 minute dive that finished with 15 minutes in the shallows listening to dolphin song.

We talked about the possibly discovery of the wreckage of a Japanese midget sub (M24) off Broken Bay, north of Sydney.

Staying on decidedly non politically sensitive subjects, we also talked a bit about the possible introduction of a diving tax in NSW - a subject that Andrew (from SA) and Bear (from Victoria) were remarkably laissez-faire about.

If you’ve got feedback on the show, leave it below, or shoot an email to surfaceinterval@gmail.com. You can include a small mp3 file with voice comments (no more than 1 minute please), and we might include these in an upcoming show.
