Episode 002 of Surface Interval
Surface Interval #002 (MP3 – 17MB – 47min)
LISTEN TO EPISODE 002 OF SURFACE INTERVAL
Dr Bowie was away this week doing Dr Bowie type stuff. Join Bear and Des as we rant on a bit about diving and related topic. For part of the show, we are also joined by a special guest – Neil Webguy Miller of DiveOz.com.au fame.
In Episode 002 we discuss:
- The recent UW Photographers trip aboard the MV Esperance Star in Moreton Bay
- Why the media seems only to focus on deaths when talking about news in Diving.
- The recent Dive Oz Up Close and Personal (DOUCAP) event held in Sydney
- The upcoming world record attempt for Underwater Ironing to be held on the Central Coast
We’ve received some good feedback following Episode 001, and we will certainly be trying to keep future episodes to 30-40 minutes. Excuse this one being a tad over that at about 47 minutes.
We’ve also got some interesting interviewees being lined up for the future. If you’ve got suggestions or comments, please leave them in the comments below, or send us an email to surfaceinterval@gmail.com. You can send in short mp3’s there if you like as audio feedback. We might include these in future shows.
Also, we mentioned in the show that we’d like to have a future show discussing solo diving, so if you’ve got ideas, opinions or comments, send that email or audio feedback, or comment below.
Hope you enjoy the show.

Hey, guys. I just listened to the podcast, and I really enjoyed it. You’re natural, spontaneous, funny, and charismatic. I envy Bear his dive with the manta ray. I think you’re onto something great here. Good luck. Can’t wait to hear the next one!
